Review: Aaja Nachle

Madhuri Dixit is back.
Madhuri shines in a nice,a bit boring film.

She isn't quite the same, you realise immediately as the megastar takes on precise steps in a Flashdance act, all legwarmers and right-angle pirouettes. She's older, and not the kind of sexy we are used to these days. Conditioned to hearing hard dhaks from inside our shirts at her every thumka, the first few seconds of this comeback film leave us nearly devastated. After all its a Madhuri's Jalwa.

Aaja Nachle is a warm, well-intentioned and competently acted happy extravaganza - except, it fails to engage. Madhuri constantly and inimitably infuses life into Anil Mehta's directorial debut, yet this predictable film, while watchable, ends up --The movie in saying nice but a bit boring in some of the parts...

Prison Break - Awesome!!!!!!!

I finally started viewing Prison Break series. I never like TV serials as Indian Tv not promise much. But for Prison Break I have not words. This thriller is even better than any Hollywood movie. I rate this 9.9/10. I have seen 10 episode in a row till now in a day and I feel unrestricted by any mean to watch rest. I just cant wait for more, I'm planning to bunk the class and to complete season 1 by tomorrow.

Story line: Lincoln Burrows is on death row for the murder of the vice president's brother. He insists he's innocent and only his brother Michael Scofield believes him. As an engineer who helped design the prison where Lincoln is being held, Michael takes drastic measures to help his brother. He gets himself arrested and sent to the same prison so that with his knowledge of the building the two of them can escape together. However, while inside, Michael discovers a massive conspiracy that is determined to see Lincoln's sentence carried out. Breaking out will be more difficult than he thought, but he's still going to try.

Get- together 2007- Brij Mandal Group

"Rocking" Get-together this year can be summed up in this word. I reached late in event. After so much drama before GT, it went pretty fine. II year manage it quite well. Food was very good. Dj was quite enjoyable. Everybody was dancing in full swing. Girls this year too show some in enthu in the event too. Credit goes to better management, but still II year require some basic thought of handling the seniors well. I'm posting some pics here for memory.

Border villages celebrate Indian team victory

AMRITSAR: The moment Indian team won the cricket match while defeating the Pakistan team on Monday, the celebrations begun at all the border villages Doekey, Mhawa, Attari and Rorawali near the Attari Check post.

All these villages are a stone throwing distance to Pakistan from Indian side. Residents of village said that victory of Indian team for the border villages is not less than to win the international war.

Hundreds of villagers near the Attari check post came out of their houses and started dancing to the tune of Punjabi music while moving the directions of speakers their towards Pakistan, said Munish Sharma resident village Mhawa.

India crowned Twenty20 world champions- My experiences

"Play without pressure, play to enjoy the game, express yourself, and don't worry about the results." That has been the mantra for Mahendra Singh Dhoni's Indian team over the last ten days, and the results of that philosophy have been nothing short of spectacular. This Indian team has shown the ability to hold their nerve in crunch situations and, quite appropriately, this quality shone through again in the biggest game of the tournament.

This format of cricket will going to be most popular in near future. Each and every ball is pulse breaking. This is the most enjoyable part of the Cricket. Finally we wins against our traditional opponent. India play well through-out the tournament.
My place for watching the match was tv room, it was roaring like anything. Every ball was creating a lot noise, one can resemble it like real viewing in ground even more than that. When India won everybody stand up and started dancing. Nothing can be hear up to 100 mts or so. It was great feeling to watch that match in such a atmosphere. Today when India reached only up to 157 runs the message by Kaushal is worth mentioning -
"Dont worry
Chidi naal te Baaz ladavan, Tan Guru Govind Singh naam dharavan"
This really made me to think that We will surely win. Also one of message by Prerna is that " she is watching the match today so India is on back foot" when it seems easy for Pak to achieve the target suddenly change in to that India won because she was watching the match is really funny. After the match my mobile is flooded with congratulation messages.
I think that when Shahrukh was cheering the Indian team, we should invite Sunny Deol to demolarize and thrash Pakistani team with a hand pump.

Celebrate and enjoy. Director should announce a holiday to celebrate it.

We lost Nat-West final after a great come back because of the dubious umpiring in the final by a Pakistani Umpire. India clinched the inaugural Twenty20 cricket World Cup after a thrilling five-run victory over arch-rivals Pakistan in the final in Johannesburg.In a match that saw fortunes fluctuate till the dying moments, the young Indian team scored 157 for five and then held its nerve to dismiss Pakistan for 152 with just three balls to spare. It's been a dream run for India, doubly unexpected because, coming into the tournament, the expectations were so low.

Chak De India

Great day has arrived when India will face Pakistan in Finals of ICC Twenty-20 world cup. No one want to see his team to be defeated specially when its a match between India & Pak.

I'm prepared for the match. I have to grab a seat at least 2 hr earlier if I want to sit comfortably through out the match in TV room. It will going to Jam Packed Hall and spirit is rocketing.
So watch this final holding your nerves & heart.

India set a final date with Pak

India stunned favourites Australia by 15 runs on Saturday to set up a mouth-watering final against Pakistan in the Twenty20 world championships.

This is really a great match to watch. Whole Hostel 5 is Jampacked. Only two TV' s are showing match for 1500 guys, one may be in GH. GMP is giving her best service by LIVE telecast of World twenty20 cup as food at that place sucks!! What a finish, everybody was stunned after India's win.In a humdinger of a semi-final, India rattled up 188 for 5 in their allotted 20 overs and then held their nerve to restrict Australia to 173 for 7 and set up a title clash with arch-rivals Pakistan in Johannesburg on Monday.

Yuvraj Singh smashed 70 off 30 balls as India, electing to take first strike at the jam-packed Kingsmead, made a challenging 188-5 and then restricted Australia to 173-7 in a rousing semi-final. Australia, needing 27 off the last 12 balls, were kept down to five runs in the 19th over bowled by left-arm seamer Rudra Pratap Singh and six runs in Joginder Sharma's last over. Sharma, who was hammered for 31 runs in his first two overs, was gambled for the final over by Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni and came good with two wickets at the end. So Indian team really deserve great applause for their tremendous efforts & success.

MNIT Rocks!! Campus placement

Again it is proved that no one be near to MNIT if it comes to talent. Your hunt for talent will certainly ends if you visit this campus. Rocking Campus placements are proving the point everyday.
It starts from TCS ( not up to expectations) but certainly good enough going great to NTPC. Nearly all got a Job. Many of them are getting other. Hostels have many alcohol parties in last few days. In Rangmahal you will never find a seat after 7pm.

India’s chances in the Twenty20 Cup

India after losing series to England, reach SA for twenty-20 World Cup, This news catching headlines in nearly all the papers. Is there ant real chance for India to win this world cup? Absence of Tendulkar, Dravid & Ganguly become quite important when we consider Indian chances.

In India, cricket lovers are keeping their fingers crossed over the question of India’s chances in this first twenty-20 world cup. India’s interest in this form of cricket has been Luke warm so far. While most of the international teams have already played quite a few number of such matches among themselves, India can boast of having played only one international match so far and that too more than 9 months ago. Even Kenya and Bangladesh have played more such matches. It is to India’s credit that although inexperienced, they recorded an emphatic 6 wickets victory over South Africa Africa in the former’s debut match!

The “new look” Indian team which will participate in the September 11-24 showpiece, will also be without the names like Zahir Khan, Munaf Patil, Ramesh power. The mercurial Mahendra Singh Dhoni will lead the team with the dashing Yuvraj Singh as his deputy. Other known faces of the Indian team which will be seen in the T-20 world cup are Virendra Singh Sehwag, Harbhajan Singh, Irfan Pathan, Gautam Gambhir, Robin Uthappa, Dinesh Kartic, Ajit Agarkar, Piyush Chawala, S.Sreesanth and Joginder Sharma. Rohit Sharma of Mumbai and Irfan’s brother Yusuf will complete the 15 member squad. As is clear from the list of the players, the Indian team will be one of the most under-prepared ones to participate in this world cup. The players had hardly any opportunity to adjust themselves in the format of T-20 cricket. More than half of the 15 member squad was busy playing test and one day cricket in England till recently, 8th September 2007 to be exact. There is a fear that these players might already be very tired and jaded as there already away from their home for over a couple of months.

For some of the players of the India team, the tournament will be a great opportunity to rehabilitate themselves in the Indian test or one day squads. This is very true with test discards – Virendra Sehwag, Irfan Pathan and Harbhajan Singh. The tournament also opens up opportunities for all rounders like Yusuf Pathan and Joginder Sharma. The Indian test and one day teams will soon be in the re-building process and Gautam Gambhir, robin Uthappa, Dinesh Kartik who are already in the Indian team, should use this T-20 world up championship to cement their places in the national squad for the bigger versions of the game.

Innovations in Cricket

This article appearing on the Telegraph, discusses how the Aussies are working on new technologies on the bat, to increase the dimensions of the sweet spot and to reduce shock and vibration arising out of the shot. As per this article, the handle is equipped with “electro-mechanical sensors and a vibration-absorbing synthetic material which converts shockwaves into heat and dampens vibration”. The article further goes on to state that the new bat will not contravene any of the existing ICCs laws unlike Ponting’s graphite bat. Recently, the Aussie Vice-Captain, Adam Gilchrist was also in the news for using a squash ball in his glove during the course of his mammoth 149 against Sri Lanka in the ICC World Cup finals. Even fielding has not been spared.

However, the point of this article is not to discuss these innovations and their rights and wrongs but to forewarn the Indian authorities that the Aussies and their ilk are not content with only winning all there is in Cricket but are professional enough to look beyond competition and change the way the sport is played. Not that I agree with it, but Cricket cannot afford to bury its head for long and to compete with other modern sports will be forced to innovate. So when the time comes for change and like football we must not be caught with our shoes off, literally. This also shows how much the Aussies and the Sri Lankans (Jayasuriya and Sangakkara also used the graphite bats), think ahead of their times and hence no wonder are at the top of the sport. Compare this with India, where we still keep talking about change, while Indian juniors still rough it out on mud flats across the country.

With the way things have been going on, unless we change our mindset rapidly and begin thinking about the game rather than going through the motions, we would soon see Cricket join the likes of hockey and myriad other sports which live more on borrowed glory from the past than bask in the expectancy of a glorious future.

Day is getting First Job:

After a tough night the results are quite fruitful. I got placed in Tata Consultancy Services. My interview was in two phases- technical & HR. When my name was called for tech I'm shriveling with fear of facing first job interview. I make myself calm before just entering the room. Interview started with usual question of Describe yourselves & why IT. Panel is seems to be really very friendly still they try to make me down. This interview is lasted for 15-20 minutes. I'm was not sure that my name will be called for HR / MR round or not, but fortunately it was. HR interview just went for 1 minute. He ask me about my family background & strengths & weaknesses. I was very comfortable in answering all.

I came hostel late night & try to sleep in suspicious situation of waiting the result. Finally results were out in evening and I was in the list of selected ones. In all out of 16 , 11 got job in TCS. Whole day went in giving treat to friends.

Worries for placements!!

This is really a tough week. I found myself much tensed than I ever feel in this institute. Whole hostel in under high pressure of getting a Job. I never much such a Maahol in our year. Everybody is trying to learn something. C Programming is becoming life for all to get some job in software industry. TCS (Tata Consulting Services) will first to come. It will be followed by IBM, CTS, ACCENTURE, WIPRO , SATYAM, CSC, SAPIENT any more.

I hoping for good placements of all. May god bless me and give me success right in time.

Training @ RSP

Welcome to Rourkela- RSP
We reached Rourkela on 19th May. Swati was there to welcome us. Swati's dad arrange all for our stay. We boys were given a flat. We started training from 21st as soon Nandini arrived. Our traing started from OBBP ( ORE BEDDING AND BLENDING PLANT), Swati's dad is the DGM of this deptt. So everybody there is very humble & co-operating to us. Bytheway we are assigned Blast furnace for our training. Officer there is Mr.Upadhayay a passout from MNIT, having same attitute of showing all 'TASION'.But Swati's effect much more than Upadhayay.We started off training in B/F under Sapru Sir's guidance, I learn that industry is quite different from what we read in books.We saw Sintering plant, Pipe plant, Hot strip mill, Cold rolling mill, Coke Ovens. Really its too much hot to stand by a blast furnace. Units are so large that one cant imagine by reading books.The Ore Bedding and Blending Plant has a base mix preparation system with on-ground bedding, blending and conveying facilities. We people doing 3 hour visit to plant we became very tired.My next blog will have all about our life @ Rourkela.

Journey to Rourkela

Journey to Rourkela:

This journey started from Jaipur. I along with six friends : Aakash, Archita, Bhavneet, Ghanshyam, Prerna & Shiv. (Believe me most of them are psycos)

We take bus to Agra from Sindhi camp. I go to sleep as soon as I capture my sleeper birth. We went to Dheeraj Chaha's room for a temperory stay. We take tea, breakfast & went for agra tour. Most unfortunately TAJ was close because of friday, as Friday prayer is going to held in Mosque in taj premises. I never understand why govt. take such decisions of close a monument like Taj for religious purpose. Half-hearted we went to see Red fort. Mughal palace architecture reached its peak with the construction of the Red Fort at Agra. Built over many centuries under different regimes, it is the product of many different architects who each worked on only a small portion of the whole. To our eyes, this gives the Red Fort a rather eclectic feel that is unified only by the ubiquitious red sandstone that gives the fortress its name.

As everybody want to have a TAJ sight we decided to go for Black Taj Foundation site but Bhavneet as usual not using his brain revolt against. He called the plan a shear waste of money which was not. It is hard to convince Bhavneet. Aakash had some argument with him too.

After viewing Taj from the banks of So called Pavitra Yamuna ( It is hardly pure, all blackish water) we reached house again. We take Lunch there and leave for Rourkela in evening for Kaling Utkal exp.

Phuskar Tirth

This post is coming quite late since our visit to phuskar. We went there in month of march. We went to Kaushik's home. Pareek was completely drunk. I never seen such a frank family ever. Uncle is just unique understand our feeling. We were 8 in number, Shiv, Anita, Kaushik, Naveen, Ganshu, Pareek, Deeraj & me.

In Phuskar Pareek & Chandak slept on road becoz of being tried of driving bike in night . We started Journey at 3am reached 6am in Ajmer. We also went to Dargah Sharif. My next post will have more about it..

Rotar - My Favorite Dog !!

Rotar is my favorite dog in Hostel. Somebody may laugh at 'favorite' word but seriously there are more dogs then guys in Boys Hostels (What the hell administration doing?).

Rotar get his name as he always Rotates his tail all time. Sometime he irritates when he bark at 2pm in night. He is more Sexy then SRK (Hey shiv are you reading this post?)

Mass Bunk On Holi !!

Being short of too many attence in P&C classes I have to agree for massbunk. Really these people sucks!! You have to for a bunk even you dont want. Shukla having the least attendence in class insisted too much for bunk. Our Netaji (B) this time some how manages few people too agree for bunk usually they dont, I think they are also leaving for home otherwise there is no chance that they agreed so easily.

Yogi is warned by most of this Met3 mates not to attend classes & He finally afraid of their warning & decided not to go. Yogi is a moron if does so!!

Bunk is for 2 days : 02-3-2007 & 05-3-2007 (ie friday & monday)

Mid Term Horror!!

Mid terms are near and tension is growing up day by day, but till yet no plans for study. Life is bit hell here. Next week may be the week for sports so I may have so relax.
